Perforated studs stay fixed in place long enough to hold a core but also have a faster melting rate so they can often be place in machined areas on castings or used in pressure tested castings.

Pin Studs are predominantly for greensand mould applications. The pin is pressed into the Greensand mould surface and secured in place for the core to be placed in position.

Perforated Steel Filters

Perforated Steel filters are cost effective filters for casting aluminium. They prevent some dross from entering the casting and help to regulated the metal flow into the mould. Also available are steel blanks.

Core Strenghtening
Annealed Core wire is malleable so it can be easily bent into complex shapes to fit inside narrow coreboxes and also placed inside deep 'pockets' on patterns to help moulds 'strip' successfully.

Steel Wire Pins are excellent for strengthening thin cores where sand strength alone will not prevent a core from breaking during casting.
Available in various lengths from 2'' up to 8''.

Nylon core vent is excellent at removing gases that can become trapped within cores and moulds and produce scrap castings.
